HEAVY MACHINERY & COMMERCIAL VEHICLES

MCS Megawatt Charging System

Electric construction machinery and commercial vehicles such as trucks or buses require particularly high charging currents. That is why LAPP is investing in the development of its own MCS solution. The Megawatt Charging System (MCS) is a groundbreaking technology that delivers a charging power of up to 3.75 megawatts, enabling even the largest batteries in heavy commercial vehicles to be charged in a maximum of 30 minutes. With its special connectors and cables, which can handle currents of up to 3000 amps at voltages of up to 1250 volts, the MCS is redefining the possibilities of electromobility. Learn more

High-Voltage Cables

The high-voltage cabling in electric commercial vehicles must be specially designed to withstand high electrical, thermal, and mechanical loads. Important requirements include high voltage resistance, low losses, a robust and flexible design, and good shielding against electromagnetic interference (EMC). It safely distributes high voltage between the battery, motor, and other major consumers such as heating and air conditioning. LAPP offers proven quality in this area with the ÖLFLEX® HV EV T6 FHLR2GCB2G cable. Learn more

Robust charging solutions for smaller construction machinery and mining vehicles

Harsh environments require robust charging solutions. The mobile charging station from LAPP, for example, offers high robustness combined with important technical features that are essential for heavy-duty applications: It is drop-proof and drive-over-proof, oil-resistant and waterproof with monitoring of temperature and fault currents and has adapters for domestic and industrial sockets.

Our type 2 charging cables (mode 3) for charging at the charging station also offer proven LAPP quality and robustness. They meet all required standards and are characterized by a particularly long lifespan.
