Charge Point Connector
For cost-effective cabling of charging stations
When building charging stations, copper cables are often used for the lines running from the transformer station to the charging stations because they are flexible and can be easily connected to the individual charging stations. However, the downside of copper cables is their cost.
For this reason, LAPP has developed the Charge Point Connector (CPC). The CPC makes it possible to install significantly less expensive aluminum cables between the transformer station and the charging station. Since the aluminum cables are extremely rigid and cannot be bent, they are connected to the charging stations via pre-assembled, flexible copper cables attached to the CPC.
The LAPP Charge Point Connector (CPC) is a pre-assembled connector for charging stations that enables easy connection of the charging station to aluminum cables.
The CPC is integrated directly into the charging station’s foundation and can be adapted to any foundation shape. It features optimally crimped cable lugs for connection to the charging station, as well as flexible copper cables with pre-assembled Cu-Al connectors, which allow the charging station to be easily connected to aluminum cables.
The plug-and-play installation enables quick and easy setup, significantly reducing installation time and minimizing potential errors.
This allows for the use of cost-effective aluminum cables between the substation and the charging stations, resulting in savings of up to 60% on material costs.
